At Resellers, we are committed to creating a safe, transparent, and fair shopping experience for all buyers. This Buyer Protection Policy explains your rights, our responsibilities, and how issues are handled when purchasing products on our platform.
By placing an order on Resellers, you agree to this Buyer Protection Policy.
During this period, buyers may request:
A return
A replacement
A refund
subject to the terms outlined below.
Buyer Protection applies when an item meets one or more of the following conditions:
✔ Item is not as described
✔ Item is defective or faulty upon arrival
✔ Incorrect item was delivered
✔ Item is missing essential components
✔ Item fails to function as advertised (excluding normal wear on pre-owned items)
Buyer Protection does not apply to:
✘ Change of mind (unless explicitly allowed by the seller or required by law)
✘ Damage caused after delivery due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling
✘ Normal wear and tear on pre-owned / refurbished items clearly disclosed
✘ Hygiene-sensitive items (e.g. wigs, hair products, cosmetics) once opened or used, unless defective
✘ Digital products that have been accessed, downloaded, or activated
✘ Items returned without original accessories, packaging, or documentation (where applicable)
Returned items must:
Be in the same condition as received
Include original packaging, accessories, and serial numbers (where applicable)
Show no signs of tampering, alteration, or misuse
Resellers reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions.
Pre-order items are products that are not yet in stock and are purchased in advance.
Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed
Delays may occur due to suppliers, shipping, customs, or unforeseen circumstances
Buyers will be kept informed of material delays
Pre-orders may be cancelled before the item is dispatched
Once the item has been shipped, standard return rules apply
If Resellers or the seller cannot fulfill a pre-order, a full refund will be issued
Refunds for pre-orders are processed only after confirmation of non-fulfillment
Auctions, Return & Refund,Marketplace, Shipping, Etc
Auction purchases → Auction Policy
Third-party seller items → Marketplace Policy
Shipping matters → Shipping & Delivery Policy
Buyer Protection applies only where those policies allow it
If a buyer and seller cannot resolve an issue:
Either party may escalate the matter to Resellers
Both sides must submit clear evidence, including:
Photos or videos
Order details
Communication records
Resellers will review all evidence objectively
Resellers' decision is final and binding, based on:
Platform policies
Seller disclosures
Evidence provided
Applicable consumer protection laws
Resellers reserves the right to:
Reject suspicious claims
Suspend accounts for abuse of Buyer Protection
Take action against fraudulent activity
False claims may result in loss of protection privileges.
This policy complies with:
South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
POPIA data protection standards
Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights where applicable.
Resellers may update this policy from time to time.
Changes will be posted on the website and apply to future transactions.
