TRADE-IN & BUYBACK POLICY – RESELLERSZA

1. Overview

Resellers may offer a Trade-In or Buyback Program allowing customers to exchange eligible items for store credit, discounts, or direct purchase offers.

This program is currently subject to availability and may be activated at the platform’s discretion.

2. Eligibility

Trade-In or Buyback services may apply only to:

• Eligible electronics (e.g., phones, tablets, laptops)

• Approved categories listed at the time of activation

• Items in working condition

• Items not reported lost, stolen, or blacklisted

ResellersZA reserves the right to refuse any item that does not meet eligibility criteria.

3. Valuation Process

• Trade-In values are determined based on:

  • Physical condition

  • Functional status

  • Market demand

  • Age of product

• Final value may differ after inspection.

• Customers will be notified of final valuation before completion.

If customer declines revised valuation:

• Item may be returned at customer’s expense.

4. Accepted Condition Standards

Items must:

• Power on and function correctly

• Have no major cracks, water damage, or internal defects (unless disclosed)

• Not be locked to unknown accounts

• Not be reported stolen or blacklisted

Failure to disclose condition issues may result in rejection.

5. Payment & Credit Options

Upon approval, customers may receive:

• Store credit

• Discount voucher

• Direct bank transfer (if enabled at time of program activation)

Store credit may have expiration terms stated at issuance.

6. Relationship With 14-Day Cash Back Guarantee

Trade-In transactions are separate from product purchase refunds.

• The 14-Day Cash Back Guarantee applies to new product purchases only.

• Trade-In items once accepted and processed are final and non-refundable.

• Once payment or credit is issued, the transaction is complete.

7. Seller-Based Trade-In (Marketplace Model)

If activated for marketplace sellers:

• Individual sellers may choose whether to accept trade-ins.

• Trade-In agreements between buyer and seller are their responsibility.

• ResellersZA facilitates listing and communication only.

• Disputes may be reviewed under Buyer Protection terms.

8. Fraud & Misrepresentation

ResellersZA reserves the right to:

• Reject items found to be stolen or blacklisted

• Suspend accounts involved in fraudulent activity

• Report unlawful items to relevant authorities

• Reverse issued credit if fraud is detected

9. Inspection & Processing Time

Inspection period may take:

• 2–7 business days after item is received.

Processing times may vary depending on category and volume.

10. Limitation of Liability

ResellersZA shall not be liable for:

• Loss due to undisclosed defects

• Market value fluctuations

• Customer dissatisfaction with valuation

• Delays caused by incorrect item submission

11. Program Activation Clause

The Trade-In & Buyback Program may be:

• Temporarily unavailable

• Region-restricted

• Category-restricted

• Modified or discontinued at any time

Activation of the program will be clearly announced on the platform when available.
